Chris produces music, in the studio and on the stage. In his various roles as songwriter, musician, sound designer, recording engineer and mix engineer he has produced over 20 commercially released records. Over the past 20 years he has performed thousands of concerts in the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and across Europe, with high profile artists or as a solo performer. He is mainly known for his work in the progressive rock genre, with Mostly Autumn, Fish, and Halo Blind, but adds a heavy influence of Americana and Celtic folk music to his regular solo acoustic gigs.
Alongside his production work Chris is an academic, currently lecturing in songwriting and music production and reading for a PhD. His research focusses on authenticity in music production, and how the character of a recording situation is imprinted in the personality of a record.
