Sometimes
a chance meeting with people changes your life forever. This is what
happened to me when I was first introduced to Bryan Josh. I had been singing in public since I was 13, mainly due to the fact that my family are music orientated. My father is a very accomplished drummer and my uncle toured Europe with his rock band in the late 60s. During my teenage years, I had performed with many bands, and worked with Jon Johansson from Deal in Kent. Jon was looking for someone to sing his own compositions, and is a very talented songwriter. He’d spent a lot of time in America working with the likes of Bonnie Rait and the Eagles. When I first met Bryan, I was amazed by his conviction and dedication to the journey he wishes his music to take. Bryan introduced me to the rest of the band, and I soon found that this is more than just a band, it is a family. ![]() Heather in particular has been a huge inspiration to me and I will be eternally grateful to her. My first gig with the Mostlies was at the London Astoria ‘Storms Over Still Waters’ launch gig in June 2005. This was a very special night for me, one I will never forget. Since then, university work allowing, I now perform with them on a regular basis. I somehow managed to attain a place at York University to study Languages and Linguistics (French/German). I would dearly love to have the opportunity to perform a song in a foreign language - it would be intriguing! I will graduate in June 2008 (hopefully!) and have every intention of focusing on music full time. I’ll be walking with a dream in my bag |
