Gavin Griffiths - Drums

As with so many of its members, Gavin’s connections with Mostly Autumn go back long before he ever joined them. He first met the band while he was drumming for Karnataka, who supported Mostly Autumn on several occasions.

He’d got on well with them and admired their music. Following the demise of the original Karnataka line-up he was invited to join Fish’s band in 2006.

The departure of Andrew Jennings at the beginning of 2007, and with the launch gig for ‘Heart Full Of Sky’ at the London Astoria fast approaching, there was a need to find a need replacement drummer as quickly as possible but without compromising on the qualities that such a drummer would need to learn and play the subtleties and dynamics of Mostly Autumn’s music.

Having admired his drumming for some time, Bryan and Heather lost no time in calling Gavin.

Fortunately he was available for the forthcoming tour and delighted to step in and fill the vacant drum stool. As it has turned out, it is clear that Gavin has fitted in brilliantly with the band and brought a whole new dynamism to their performances.

Of course, this has made him an exceptionally busy man as he now has to juggle being in two bands!
